Roxanne Trama Joins NYSPHSAA as Spring Intern

Roxanne Trama has joined the Association as a full-time intern in the marketing/media content department for the spring of 2019. She is currently a senior at The University at Albany and is majoring in communications with a minor in sociology. Roxanne has worked with the Overtime Club, which covers sports and news at UAlbany, and has a bevy of experience in Premier, Photoshop, and MS Office applications used at NYSPHSAA.

Roxanne is a graduate of Irvington High School (Section I) where she lettered in volleyball, basketball, and softball. In basketball, she earned two NYSPHSAA state championships and one federation title. Her senior year, she received the Coaches Award which is given to the most outstanding athlete in her class. Roxanne was also a NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete, a member of the National Honor Society, and was a part of Key Club.

“I am very excited and grateful for this opportunity to work with this association”, said Roxanne. To have played in the state tournament was an amazing experience and now to see what goes on behind the scenes is exciting. I have always had an incredible passion for sports and to be able to incorporate marketing into it is ideal. In hopes of pursuing my career in Sports Communication, this internship will be a great learning experience for me.”
