Welcome to the next edition of “Milk Moves of the Week” sponsored by Refuel With Chocolate Milk from the American Dairy Association North East. Outstanding athletic performance is evidence of practice, superior physical conditioning and good nutrition. Each week, we’ll share a rundown from around the state of the top “Milk Moves” of the week as nominated by our member schools, coaches, media partners, and fans. No matter the sport, we want to share the accomplishments of NYSPHSAA student-athletes!
Girls Lacrosse: Emily Sardo (Westlake) scored 8 points, including 7 goals and 1 assist in a win over Edgemont.
Boys Lacrosse: Justin Hoke (Rome Free Academy) racked up 12 points, scoring 7 goals and adding 5 assists in a win against Utica Proctor.
Boys Track & Field: Giordano Williams (Uniondale) finished the 200m in 21.54 at the Knighttime Invitational., setting a personal record and the best time in the state so far this season.
Softball: Shannon Becker (Mahopac) struck out 22 batters in a win against Colonie.
Girls Track & Field: Brianna Davis (Brentwood) finished the 100m in 11.96 at the Knighttime Invitational., setting a personal record and the best in the state so far this season.
Baseball: Theo Farynik (Cold Spring Harbor) pitched a no-hitter through five innings and struck out 11 in a win over Malverne.
