Author: Chris Joyce, Director of Sales & Marketing

Welcome to the final spring edition of “Milk Moves of the Week” sponsored by Refuel With Chocolate Milk from the American Dairy Association North East! Outstanding athletic performance is evidence of practice, superior physical conditioning and good nutrition. Each week, we share a rundown from around the state of the top “Milk Moves” of the week as nominated by our member schools, coaches, media partners, and fans. No matter the sport, we want to share the accomplishments of NYSPHSAA student-athletes!

Softball: Shannon Becker (Mahopac) pitched a perfect game, striking out all 21 batters she faced in a win over Carmel.

Girls Track & Field: Alissa Braxton (Commack) launched herself to a 42’0” triple-jump distance at the Glen Loucks Games.

Boys Track & Field: Asiel King (Uniondale) finished the 110mH in 14.14 at the Middletown Invitational, setting a personal record and the best time in the state so far this season.

Baseball: Richie Partridge (Burke Catholic) smashed four home runs in a victory over Washingtonville. His 4-for-4 performance included 6 runs batted in.

Boys Lacrosse: Ben Reilly (Bethlehem) tallied 6 goals and added 5 assists to help his team earn a win over Shenendehowa.
