Each week, we share a rundown from around the state of the top “Milk Moves” of the week as nominated by our member schools, coaches, media partners, and fans. No matter the sport, we want to share the accomplishments of NYSPHSAA student-athletes!
Boys Swimming & Diving: TJ Bearor (Queensbury) swam the 50 Freestyle in 21.29, tied for the best time in the state so far this season.
Wrestling: PJ Duke (Carmel) never trailed in a match as he won the 99-pound weight class at the Eastern States Classic.
Ice Hockey: Ryan Durand (Syracuse) lent a hand to several teammates as he finished with 4 points on 4 assists in a win over Mohawk Valley.
Girls Bowling: Isabella Ferraro (Hilton) put together a three-game series of 697 in a win over Greece Arcadia.
Boys Indoor Track & Field: Getachew Hayes (LaSalle) set a PR and ran the 3000m in 8:40.57 to win the 38th Yale Interscholastic Track Classic.
Boys Bowling: Parker Hoyt (Rush Henrietta) turned in scores of 257, 213, and 258 for a high series of 728 in a win over Spencerport.
Girls Basketball: Claire Pikett (Holland) scored 20 points along with 17 rebounds, 11 steals, and 10 blocks to record the school’s first ever quadruple-double in a big win over Towanda.
Girls Indoor Track & Field: Amina Sunclair (Liverpool) cleared 5’ 6” in the high jump at the Fred Kirschenheiter Memorial Invitational.
Boys Basketball: Nick Townsend (Greeley) racked up 42 points and 22 rebounds in a win over Spring Valley.
