Each week, we share a rundown from around the state of the top “Milk Moves” of the week as nominated by our member schools, coaches, media partners, and fans.?No matter the sport, we want to share the accomplishments of NYSPHSAA student-athletes!
Girls Basketball: Hailey Ballard (Queensbury) leads Spartans scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds to clinch the Foothills Title over Amsterdam.
Boys Basketball: Alex Haight (Delhi) scored 37 points in their win against Walton, breaking the school record for most points scored in a single game.
Girls Track and Field: Markira Garner (McKinley) recorded a personal best 7.07 for the 55-meter dash, earning her a first place at the Section VI Indoor Track & Field Team Championships.
Boys Swimming & Diving: John Laidlaw (Horace Greeley) competed in the 500 Freestyle Tuesday and earned the best time in New York State with an impressive 4:33.81.
Girls Ice Hockey: Hailey Millington (Clinton) made 24 saves to record the shutout victory over Williamsville North in the Regional Championship.
Boys Track and Field: Quinn Smith (Hampton Bays) tossed a 12lb Shot Put 58’1”, a personal record that earned him first place at the Section XI Last Chance Meet.
Boys Ice Hockey: Robert Voss (Norwood) totaled three points including two goals in an overtime victory over Potsdam.
