Credential Requests

Below is a list of each media coordinator appointed to a respective NYSPHSAA State Tournament. Regardless of having an official NYSPHSAA media credential or not, all media must contact the media coordinator of a tournament to announce their attendance.

All Sports Directors and Editors must submit a written request to obtain credentials for their media outlet. The request must include the following information:

• Name of individuals you are requesting credentials for and capacity to which they will serve in representing your organization (photog, writer, camera, etc.)
• Individual’s contact information (phone, e-mail)
• The Director/Editor’s contact information (phone, fax, e-mail)
• Media outlet address
• Events intending to cover

This information will be used to create either a personalized or media specific NYSPHSAA State Championship credential, valid for the entire school year. Even though media will still be required to contact NYSPHSAA** before each championship event to announce their attendance, this process will approve your credential request well in advance, allow you to have possession of your credential well in advance, and expedite your entry into venues.

ALL requests must be made by August 1 of each year.

Official NYSPHSAA Championship Credentials will be distributed in September.

**NYSPHSAA appoints Media Coordinators for each State Championship event to handle credential requests.
